The Mekelle band is a shared prong wedding band with diamonds that go more than halfway down the sides, creating a truly magnificent sparkle. This petite band sits flush to our perfectly matched Mekelle engagement ring.
This band is named after the City of Mekelle which is the capital of Tigray, Ethiopia – the region in which our first six water wells were drilled.

Gold for this ring is sourced from So Accurate Group in Woodside, NY through Metalor, and is 100% recycled. Proof of recycled metal is certified through the Responsible Jewelry Council, and can be seen here.
This ring is handcrafted by our master jewelers in Long Island, New York.

My fiance purchased the Mekelle band for me at the same time he purchased the Asha ring. He let me try them on together, and I will say the Mekelle is even daintier than I thought, and I love how the ring looks. I can't wait to wear the band, it sits so well with the Asha ring. At my request, my fiance had the diamonds switched out for moissanites. We consulted with Do Amore prior, and while they were honest that diamonds would look prettier and that if I was concerned with ethics, they wanted to assure me of their own ethics when it comes to sourcing their diamonds. While I love the look of diamonds, I just can't bring myself to support the diamond industry, no matter the ethical source of the diamond in question. They were super understanding of that and assured me the ring would still be beautiful and they'd make sure to pick the best moissanites to fill the band. I love both my rings and am currently working with them to custom design my fiance's wedding band! … Read Less
