Is palladium rare than gold?

Yes, palladium is about 30 times rarer than gold, and is even rarer than platinum! And, it is a great choice for an eternity ring because it’s beautiful, durable, and lightweight. Palladium actually comes out of the ground in a white color. So, unlike white gold (which must be rhodium dipped to keep its white color) there is no upkeep to palladium eternity bands. Instead, palladium develops a beautiful patina as it ages, making it look antique! Also, as palladium is much lighter than platinum, it a good choice for those who prefer a lightweight band. Finally, palladium is very durable (harder than platinum!) so it withstands daily wear and tear very well.

Couples often wonder which of our 100% recycled precious metals is best for their special band. And, if looking for a white colored metal, we have three options! White gold, platinum, and palladium. Each metal has its own unique properties that could make it perfect for you. Learn more about palladium eternity bands here!
