FAQs
VS2 is eye-clean in many hexagons, but the larger, flatter facets can sometimes reveal VS2 inclusions. Individual evaluation is recommended. The six-sided geometric face is somewhat more transparent than heavily faceted brilliant cuts.
VS2 is good when you can inspect the specific stone. A VS2 hexagon with favorably positioned inclusions saves 10% to 15% over VS1. Look for off-center inclusions that the geometric facets do not highlight.
G or H color, VS1 clarity, bold six-sided proportions with clean angular edges. The hexagon's appeal comes from its distinctive modern geometric character. Bezel or six-prong settings complement the shape.
VS2 clarity is in most shapes eye-clean in hexagon cut diamonds. Minor inclusions visible under 10x magnification but not to the naked eye in most cuts. The hexagon cut's geometric faceting can reveal inclusions more readily.
