FAQs
G is good. The X-pattern faceting can show body color slightly through its intersecting geometry, but G's warmth is subtle enough to remain invisible in most conditions. In yellow or rose gold, G is completely invisible. G offers strong value for this distinctive geometric cut.
G may show very faint warmth through the intersecting facet areas, but most observers will not notice. The distinctive X pattern draws attention to its geometric beauty rather than color. In warm metals, G is indistinguishable from higher grades.
VS1 is recommended. The intersecting facet areas can be somewhat more transparent. G/VS1 offers strong value for the distinctive X-pattern geometric character.
The difference between G and H color is very difficult to detect with the naked eye in a criss cross cut, though step-cut facets can show color slightly more readily. Once set in a ring, both grades appear equally white. Choosing H color over G in a carat criss cross can free up budget for a better cut or larger stone.
