FAQs
VS1 is completely reliable. Two carat lab grown diamonds are a wonderful spot. Always eye-clean at the larger elongated face. The universal safe choice at 2 carats. When looking for 2 carat ovals, look between 1.9 to 2.2 carats.
Both typically eye-clean at 2 carats in ovals. VS2 is the better value. The larger face makes VS2 very slightly more variable. VS1 guarantees. Bowtie quality is more important than this clarity step.
G or H. G/VS1 with minimal bowtie and a 1.35 to 1.50 ratio is a strong 2 carat oval specification.
The difference between F and G color is virtually impossible to detect with the naked eye in a cushion cut, especially since brilliant-cut faceting masks subtle color differences. Once set in a ring, both grades appear equally white. Choosing G color over F in a 2 carat cushion can free up budget for a better cut or larger stone.
