Pick a Lab Diamond

FAQs

Finding an eye-clean SI1 at 2 carats in an emerald is very challenging. Two carat lab grown diamonds are a wonderful spot. The step-cut's transparent facets at the larger 2 carat face reveal inclusions very openly. Eye-clean SI1 emerald cuts are uncommon at any size and especially rare at 2 carats.
Generally not recommended. The transparent facets at 2 carats make concealment very difficult. VS1 is the standard. A smaller emerald at VS1 often looks better than a larger SI1. When looking for 2 carat emeralds, look between 1.9 to 2.2 carats.
Inclusions near truncated corners only. Light-colored. Be realistic: the emerald's transparency at 2 carats makes most SI1 inclusions visible. Consider other shapes if SI1 is the budget constraint.
When looking for 2 carat natural diamonds, look between 1.9 to 2.2 carats so that you give yourself the best selection which will help find the best value. Searching within this range across different VVS2 clarity options gives you the widest selection to compare cut quality, clarity grades, and overall value. A well-chosen 2 carat VVS2 radiant natural diamond at the lower end of this range can look identical to one at the exact 2 carat mark while costing less.
