Pick a Lab Diamond

FAQs

VVS2 (Very Very Slightly Included 2) clarity means the diamond has very, very slight inclusions that are difficult for a trained gemologist to see under 10x magnification. The inclusions are slightly easier to find than VVS1 but remain completely invisible to the naked eye. VVS2 lab grown diamonds offer an outstanding balance of near-flawless quality and value, sitting just below VVS1 on the clarity scale.
VVS2 is an excellent clarity grade for emerald and asscher cut lab created diamonds. These step-cut shapes have large, open facets that reveal inclusions more readily than brilliant cuts, so many buyers choose higher clarity to ensure a clean appearance. VVS2 guarantees that no inclusions will be visible to the naked eye in these transparent shapes while costing less than VVS1, IF, or Flawless grades.
VVS2 and VS1 lab grown diamonds are both eye-clean in the vast majority of cases. The difference is that VVS2 inclusions are very difficult to see under 10x magnification, while VS1 inclusions are merely difficult to see. In brilliant-cut shapes (round, oval, cushion), both grades look identical to the naked eye. VVS2 may be worth the modest premium for step-cut shapes or very large stones where clarity is more exposed.
VVS2 is the sweet spot for buyers who want near-flawless quality without the FL premium, and Do Amore certifies every VVS2 through GIA, IGI, or GCAL. All Do Amore lab diamonds are grown, cut, and polished using renewable energy (solar and hydro power).
