How did it all begin?
We met about 4 years ago on a dating app actually and it was a Tuesday night that we decided to hang out and have dinner. So we actually got donuts from this local place called Arizona Donuts and just sat in the car. After a while we decided it was a nice night so we drove out to the desert with my dog and just watched the stars and talked through the night.
When did you know your partner was The One?
After we were together for about 2.5 years, I asked Sierra to move in with me and we lived together for a year before I deployed with the Marine Corps. Leading up to deployment I was thinking about proposing but 3 months into the deployment, Sierra was so great about staying in touch and I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her (but definitely not another deployment apart haha)
What made you choose Do Amore?
We actually saw Do Amore on Shark Tank and we loved the mission of the company in providing clean water. I also knew Sierra would want her diamond to be ethically sourced and Do Amore had great lab-created diamond options!

How did you propose?
I proposed in a bookstore by asking Sierra to marry me by writing “Will you marry me and write the story of our lives together?” in her favorite book.
What makes you most excited about your future together?
We actually just moved together to Minnesota from Arizona so we are so excited to start our lives together somewhere new. I’m excited to support her as she goes back to school to become a nurse practitioner and we plan to start a family in three years.
Have you decided on a wedding style or theme yet?
We eloped pretty quickly after our engagement because neither one of us wanted to wait but we are still planning to plan a barn wedding in Minnesota to celebrate with our friends and family. We are most excited to see friends in the Midwest that we haven’t seen a lot of recently and to get all of our families together. I’m also excited about wedding planning together and planning our honeymoon. Sierra is most excited about our first look and finding a perfect wedding dress!
